Distinctly retro artworks in high-end frames by IFC Art, London. While the art is of unknown provenance, the frames are not.

IFC’s frames are handmade using the finest materials from Italy, and their list of clients is impressive and includes The Savoy, Florence; The Ritz, Madrid; The Randolf, Oxford; and Claridges Hotel, London. According to their publicity, they “frame, install and design the display of art collections for collectors and businesses including multinational hotel groups. Our projects have ranged from a Leonardo da Vinci to newspaper cuttings. We can also supply and install imaging for global brands and hotels across multiple locations.”

In short, each frame by itself is worth more than double the price of what I’m asking for this two-artwork package. And although the details of the art are unknown, one thing is certain: whoever had them framed in these gorgeous, polished frames (probably walnut) would not have spent so much money on frames unless they were valuable.

The artwork is signed by the artist but the signature is all but unreadable; however, a connoisseur or someone with a degree of expertise in art may well be able to source the artist. Thus, for anyone willing to do some detective work, these prints might represent a fascinating project of investigation with a surprisingly pleasing reward at the end.

Photos for this ad have been taken with thick polythene wrappers left on the artwork to maintain protection.

Selling for a friend because of an international move, thus the more-than-reasonable price for the two.

Each piece is 54cm wide x 66cm high (photos show a DVD for scale).
