Practically a one owner car (can explain its whole history from commissioning to now) but was registered to various family members before being laid up a few years ago. If you search its MOT history you can see when it was off the road. Always kept garaged / under cover as far as I know. Now for sale as I have nowhere to keep it safe this coming winter and it’s far too good to leave outside. I had it recommissioned three summers ago and everything that needed fixing (including the roof hydraulics) was done then. It cost more to get it back onto the road than it’s worth! Drives without fault and requires nothing doing to just enjoy, as I have done, as a ‘modern classic’. Having said that it has numerous little imperfections as it’s 29 years old and not ‘restored’. Worst defects are wear to drivers seat; tiny split in the plastic rear screen (I caused this by pressing too hard when using a plastic restorer on it - it’s sealed with one inch of clear glazing tape!); little ‘dinks’ on the bodywork from when it had things put on it while in storage; offside front, plastic, front indicator lens is cracked - the near side one has been replaced; the electrically adjustable wing mirrors used to work but now appear to have seized up; boot lock will lock on the central locking but only unlocks with the key (this may be a feature from new - not sure?). I’m sure I’ve forgotten stuff - if you’re interested you really need to view it.
Hard to price - they seem criminally undervalued compared to other Pugs - I’ve seen ‘perfect’, low mileage, examples offered for £8k and, recently, two MOT’d but ‘rough’, examples were sold locally for £500 - £600. I’ve priced mine to reflect the fact that it’s not in show condition but it is a joy to drive, completely unmolested, and fully working right down to its electric aerial.
