Description
Looking for a double bass player for small gigs, rehearsals, and closed-doors practice sessions to try out new ideas and tunes, either as a dep or permanent member of a couple projects, 4/5tet bands...
You should have experience of playing straight ahead jazz (Think Blues, American Songbook, Ellingtonia, Bop, Bossa), would suit intermediate amateur/semi pro players more than beginners.
Always looking for a good vibe in the room, serious about the music, but also there to have fun :)
Gigs are a mixture of unpaid and low paid - they're a joy, but they won't pay your bills !
Venues are central, north & east London mostly, age irrelevant
