Sam Bartley clearly understood my requirements. His drawings are even better than I had hoped for. We are at halfway stage and I am looking forward to receiving the final drawings. I have had brilliant feedback from a local school mistress and her class is engaged in doing their own drawings for each stanza of the poem. She says that her school will definitely buy the finished books. In the meantime I can expect to be a judge of the children’s efforts.
