Vintage GEC Film Theatre Floor Lamp – 1950s
A striking vintage GEC film theatre floor lamp, manufactured in the UK by the General Electric Company, dating from the 1950s.
This industrial lamp features a Fresnel lens and a polished metal body with an adjustable tripod base on three swivel castors, making it both functional and easy to move. It retains multiple adjustments, including height, tilt, and swivel, allowing for versatile positioning.
It appears to have been rewired in recent years with a dark red braided cord and now takes a standard E27 screw-in bulb. The lamp can also be dismantled using the yellow bolts for ease of transport.
In good vintage condition with some rust spots consistent with age and use. One of the yellow tightening bolts is missing at the top, which normally prevents the lamp from being lifted off the stand, though it remains fully functional.
A wonderful statement piece of mid-century industrial design, perfect for interiors with a vintage, theatrical, or loft aesthetic.

Courier shipping is £50 in England. Local delivery in East London should be cheaper so please ask. There may also be an additional charge for larger items to Cornwall, Devon, and some far northern counties so please ask.
Delivery will be 1 man, ground floor, kerbside and will be 1-2 weeks or sooner. If you are unable to assist the courier and require 2 man delivery then there may be an additional charge.
We can try to combine or reduce shipping for multiple items.
