Description
The Bodhrán originates from Ireland and is a single-headed frame drum, stretched with a goatskin and decorated in Celtic-inspired design.
This drum has been with me a while, and it’s sad to part, but I’m moving forward and passing it on!
The vibrant design on the front is a Wild Goose, a Celtic symbol and character which denotes the Holy Spirit. The drum’s diameter is 40cm and the skin is secured with a uniquely purple strap. The drum has a lovely, deep base tone, and can be played with the hand, or more typically with a special double-headed beater called a tipper.
