DW9002 Double Bass Pedal
Addlestone, Surrey
£250

Description
I bought this double pedal secondhand in 2019, I dont know how old it is but it shows signs of hard use, some paint loss. Mechanically its fine, the bearings are healthy (free movement - no loose play) chains are ok and I replaced the springs. The beaters are useable but may benefit from fresh felt.
The linking drive assembly has much superficial damage from years of tightening the adjusting screws but this doesnt affect its operation, the links are straight and the universal couplings work fine.
The drum key is present clipped to the primary pedal base. All spurs are present.
Comes with the original plastic type DW flight case - this has many scuffs but no cracks or holes, clips and hinge work ok.
There is no paperwork and the optional nylon strap drive is missing.
This is the flagship DW pedal, it plays well, very smooth, lots of adjustment and built like a tank. I'm selling after switching to a Roland KT10 in an effort to reduce overall kit noise.
Collection preferred. Tracked shipment offered only to UK addresses +£25
Payment in cash, paypal or bank transfer.

Answers to Questions...
I believe previous owner was a drumming tutor which would explain the heavy use. I dont know if its been extensively gigged but the flight case suggests its been used alot - I havent taken it outside the home.
No heel lift kit - I think these are out of production and pretty rare.
The beaters are not bent. What sort of drum would do that ??
I'm sure the footplates are standard size.
I dont see any mould numbers or serials stamped to give an age indication.
