Antique/Vintage, Brass & Copper, Long (95cm) Hunting Horn - Music/Instruments

You are looking at what I believe to be a vintage/antique horn, specifically, a hunting horn (based on similar adverts). The horn is made from mainly copper with a brass mouth piece and a brass centre that combines to the two copper pieces that make up the bulk of the horns length.

Was found in the attic during a turnout and now needs a new home. Not sure of the age. It belonged to my father but as far as I am aware, he did not obtain it new and that was over forty years ago. Now needs a new home.


Condition:-

There are few dents and scratches due to general wear and tear (please see the advert pictures). Overall physical condition seems to be good.

I did polish it on the outside prior to the start of this sale but never got around to trying to clean the horn on the inside.

At the wide end, please note that there are two small cracks in the copper that go through from the inside to the outside.

In regards to generating a noise from this horn, my girlfriend was able to generate some sort of noise when she tried.

This will be shipped using a fully tracked and insured postage method with Royal Mail Signed for or Tracked 48 or a courier. The postage cost is £8.50. Collection in person is also welcome from the Hooe area of Plymouth.
