I bought this piece if kit a few years ago when I lived in a thick-walled house and was having problems getting a signal in some rooms. Never used it and it remains sealed and unopened. I paid £30 for it. The box says:
'Extend your wi-fi where your router can't reach. Works with all broadband providers. Secure wireless network - no configuration needed. Simply plug into a power socket in range of your router and you're good to go'
