Description
VINTAGE FRENCH BAMBOO HANGING SHELF, RETRO BAMBOO WALL SHELVES, 60cm wide 67cm tall 23cm deep/wide - 1970s - REDUCED!
WILL POST - I can post this for £14 if paid for by bank transfer (Note - we only accept payment in cash on collection or by bank transfer if delivery agreed - no PayPal, card, or courier payment).
Selling our collections (hoards) of mostly French vintage items that have been acquired over many years until finally we have no room for more!
We got this from a Brocante at Reims in the Champagne region and have used it as a kitchen shelf.
It is a retro tiki bamboo wall hanging shelf dating to the 1970s.
Nicely sturdy for its weight, it’s now a little shabby with some wear but still an attractive item that makes a great functional and decorative piece.
In good sound vintage condition with some wear - please examine photos carefully for condition.
Constructed from bamboo which has been stapled and nailed I think.
This is wall hung with two hanging holes drilled through the rear vertical struts at the top (we also supported it with a baton screwed to the wall to the underside of the upper shelf) - see photos.
Solid and sound with no structural damage.
The bamboo is a little worn and aged but still reasonably rigid and in good condition - see photos.
The shelves are made from old chipboard with the uppers covered in a hessian effect vinyl.
The vinyl is a little loose and worn but secure with no rips.
The underside of the shelves is bare chipboard which is worn and drops the odd chip but still sound - see photos.
Approximate dimensions:
67 cm tall
60 cm long,
23 cm wide/deep
Weighs about 3.5 kg.
