Description
A fantastic mid century teak magazine rack, from the early 1960s, featuring atomic age styling so redolent of the times.
The base unit of the rack is rocket shaped, and the side sections lever outwards on the original chains, to enable magazines, books or records to be placed in the holder sections.
When closed up, the rack has the profile of the base rocket shape, and when open the sides drop away to be angled to hold the magazines etc in place.
The two sides of the rack have desert island scenes etched into the teak, including an 'open' door. This is particularly attractive as a feature of the times also.
Mounted on solid wood feet, the magazine rack has been cleaned, teak oiled and is ready for use in any mid century modern styled home.
