Description
A great original piece for the collector of the 60's/70's kitsch retro look this tray features a print by the artist Audrey Dallas-Simpson. The tray is an original piece dating from the 1960's. The weave work surrounding the tray is plastic wicker. The tray measures 19¾ inches by16 inches and is 1½ inches deep. It can be used or displayed as intended as a tray or can be hung from a picture hook as in one of the photos above as a piece of wall art. The print and fabric of the tray are in good condition for its age .Audrey Dallas-Simpson , the Godmother of kitsch, moved to live in a mobile home in Lancing by the sea on the south coast of England (She originally came from London) to enjoy the simple life accompanied by her favourite tipple of gin funded by her art. She is best known for her big eyed urchin children but she did paint other subjects under a number of pseudonyms . Born 1925, died 1984. Collection Paulton
