Description
I have three vintage wooden planes for sale. The largest measures 55cm long, 8cm wide and 8cm deep and weighs approximately 3 kgs. It was manufactured by Kirk & Asling, a company who operated in Nottingham from 1883-1891.
The so called ‘coffin’ plane measures 20cm long, 7cm wide and 7cm deep. It was manufactured by William Greenslade & Co, who began making planes in Bristol in 1828 and continued in various forms until 1937.
The ‘rebate plane’ measures 24cm long, 4 cm wide and 8cm deep. It was manufactured by D. Kimberley & Sons who operated in Birmingham between 1854 until 1906.
I am happy to sell individual planes with the following prices: large plane £45, the coffin plane £25, and the rebate plane £25.
