Headless Guitar offered for parts
This home-build headless electric guitar has been gigged a number of times and is a good, resonant, gutsy rock-style guitar - loosely based on the Strandberg design.
It’s a lefty, which I play right handed strung. I needed a lightweight guitar whuch is why I built it two years ago (my third home-build - all three are are good, gigging guitars).
So this is most likely to be bought for its parts for someone who wants to build their own (or sell separately for more profit). I am selling it simply because I have more guitars than I need.
- Telecaster neck (now headless) from Northwest Guitars. The bone nut is right-handed.
- Hipshot headless outfit that includes bridge (right or left hand) and head-piece.
- Two Bare Knuckle Boot Camp medium output humbuckers, nickel finish (four conductor).
- Two CTS pots (one push/pull for coil tapping the pickups), paper and oil capacitor, high quality three position pickup sector and Tele jack socket, supplied via Bare Knuckle.
- Treble bleed circuit fitted
- Vintage colour switch tip and control knobs.
- Handmade lightweight neck plate, can be flipped for right or left handed.
- lightweight gig bag and a spare set of D’Addario straplocks.
The body started life as a Tele L/H. Probably now firewood!
Original prices paid were:
Strap buttons/Neck plate/screws £14
Neck £176
Pickups £254
Pots+cap, Treble Bleed £43
p/u 3-way Switch £22
Tele Jack socket £12
Knobs £6
Nut (right handed) £9
Hipshot hardware (works for left or right-handed) £295
Extra Straploks 10
Total cost (to me) was over £800, plus the body.
With these parts, you have pretty much everything you need (except a new body, paint etc) to build your own headless guitar. You can have them all for £500, which is an absolute bargain.
£500 collect. Will quote separately if delivery required.
