Fantastic, so pleased overall. John outlined exactly what work needed doing, so it was clear from the get go. His team arrived promptly every morning and worked so hard through the day. The finish of the paintwork is immaculate, I have had so many people ask me who did the painting and decorating. Highly recommend!

John and Conrad were on time everyday and the standard of the painting was excellent initially, especially having to move around furniture and paint around it. I asked John to attend my home for a quote so that he could see exactly what I wanted doing and quote appropiately which he did in a timely manner. Two days into the job John realised that was going to be quite a bit more work than he first realised and instructed Conrad to just patch marks on the wall instead of painting whole walls as agreed without discussing this with me. When I realised this I spoke with John who expressed his frustration and tried to argue that despite our verbal agreement about what would be done the exact wording of the contract he had drawn up was ambiguous. John did however eventually agree to keep to the verbal agreement and paint over all marks. On the third day painting of the doors and skirting boards was rushed and not to the same standard as the work of the first two days, this was the work that John wasn't very happy about having to do, exacerbated by the fact that it had come to home time. He also replaced some skirting board, measured it wrong and tried telling me they didn't make the size anymore (I found the correct size within 10 seconds of googling) so I now have a length of skirting slightly too wide and with an inch gap at the bottom, I couldn't be bothered to argue it at that point though as it wasn't worth the headache, it's at least finished to a good standard though. I also needed two kitchen panels replacing as my puppy had chewed the bottoms, John had a kitchen fitter come to do the work and that was carried out to a very high standard. All in all the work is high quality but make sure your contract states exactly what you're asking for is going to be carried out word for word or be prepared to have to argue the toss. Also ensure that you agree on the price of materials, my quote included this cost but I ended up paying for extra paint etc that was required because there was more needed than John initially realised. John did go the extra mile in some regards such as filling holes etc which I appreciated. I'd rate the quality of the painting 5/5 when he was interested and the price was very fair. Attitude was honestly 2/5 after becoming quite clearly and audibly uninterested, John did explain that he had some bad news on this day so this could be a one off but I can only speak to my experience. To his credit John did apologise and has been polite and professional since.
