Description
Good British Atco Cadet 'Merry Tiller' rotary garden cultivator, with 'bullet-proof' Briggs and Stratton 4-stroke, 3 HP, petrol engine.
Cost about £300 new, IIRC.
Comes as seen with detachable rotor guards and original instruction manual.
Adjustable handles with fold-away facility for storage or transportation. Clutch belt drive with jockey pulley tensioner. Rotors dig 12" (30cm) deep x 26" (65cm) wide. Max rotor speed 145 rpm. Fold-down transport wheel for easy moving.
Nice solid, sturdy, dependable tiller. Not too bulky - works the ground nicely.
Always worked well and gave no issues at all; used about twice a year on our allotment. Now no longer have a use for it; has sat in the shed for a while.
No issues that I am aware of - but would recommend a general service prior to use.
Buy this for the cost of hiring one!
