Very rare mid 80's Raleigh Super lightweight Steel Road Bike.

Fully refurbished in Electric Blue Pearl paint. Stunning.

I bought this as a Fixie from a guy who took his father's 80's Road Bike and fully refurbished it.
Comes with Cinelli Bottom bracket lugs. Serial number shows to be an 84' bike. With Gipiemme drop.outs, this was made in the high end Raleigh factory in Walsall, UK.
The previous owner said he remembered the Reynolds decal as 653. I cannot confirm this, but it's definitely 531 Competition or Reynolds 653. It's a high end Raleigh from the lugs, seat post work, sloped forks etc. it's incredibly lightweight. Steel bikes do not get much lighter than this

This is an extremely rare bike, especially in this condition. You will not find a better one in the UK right now.

I have put two brand new (old stock) Campagnolo Wheels and a hardly used Campagnolo Mirage 8 Speed Groupset on to compliment this excellent bike.

It rides and looks like new.

The paintwork was completed by a professional re- sprayer. I just added a new Raleigh badge and Raleigh decal to show it's heritage.

Fully serviced and ready to ride away. Most used bikes come with dry and rusty bearings, worn cassettes, stretched chains. Most bike shops charge £200+ to fix these common problems
All my bikes have been serviced with new bearings, grease, cables, chains, cassettes or any part that needs to be replaced where needed. Every buckle, every gear has been tuned. So each bike rides like new.

If you want a cheap used bike that has not been serviced, plenty out there. My bikes are not just cleaned. They are serviced, so expect an excellent bike.
