Description
This is a pretty modern and fast cross country hardtail that's setup for speed. Included is a custom frame bag that only works with this frame so I can't sell one without the other. If you tend towards a hydration bladder this makes great use of the frame space as the bike only has one bottle cage mount. The lower portion of the bag is specifically sized for an apidura 3l frame bladder.
Vittoria Barzo 2.6 upfront gives it great handling and control while the rear 2.35 Mezcal is grippy and fast. Setup tubeless. Zero issues in around 2000km.
Rockshox Recon 130mm fork is a solid and reliable fork working excellently. I'm removing the stickers and cleaning up the adhesive for a clean look, you can feel free to buy some decals for them.
Deore 11 speed drivetrain is complete, unlike the stock 10 speed bike with 170mm cranks, 32t chainring, and 11-51 cassette. Less than two seasons of use means minimal wear. Setup with mt-200 brakes, which are solid but this would be my first port of call if thinking of upgrades.
The Whyte 801 is a great trail oriented hardtail. I picked it up for bikepacking and found it a bit too slack and long for those grindy road sections, but handled the offroad perfectly. With some chunkier tyres it should shred, or keep the XC tyres for speed and climbing ability.
It's boost spacing with Sonder Nova wheels and finishing kit, swept bars or riser bars with a cargo loop, your choice.
Bike £800, bag £100, no splits unfortunately, but open to reasonable offers. Will be clean and trail ready. Pedals not included.
Collection from Whiteladies Rd only.
