4 x Mid Century Beech-Framed Dining Chairs Vico Magistretti Style
The frames are in good vintage condition with usual age related wear (see photos). The fabric seat covers would benefit from being recovered.
A similar pair sold for £170 recently, see last screenshot.
Although I can’t verify the design, they’re certainly in the style of Italian architect and designer Vico Magistretti’s work, and likely retailed in the UK through Habitat.
They likely date from the mid 1980s, and have super smooth curved edges and a substantial coat of lacquer. The moulded seat back is not just stylish, but also provides excellent back support.
They’re very Scandinavian, late mid century in style. They’re really heavy for their size and are clearly of a high quality.
The chair pads are upholstered in a green velvet style fabric, that could do with being replaced with a fabric of your choice.
Style them with a teak, beech or oak dining table for that late-mid century, Scandinavian inspired look.
