Description
Old Charm oak linefold cocktail cabinet home bar. A lovely vintage cocktail cabinet from the "Old Charm" furniture range. We date this cabinet to the 1980's. There is an "Old Charm" label inside the bottom right hand cupboard door. The cabinet sits on four sturdy block feet and features panelled sides. The cabinet has very striking design features typical of Old Charm furniture, with applied scroll carved detail on the drop flap, floral relief carved detail on the cupboard doors and very decorative cast external hinges. The main cocktail cabinet is opened by lowering the drop flap face via a recessed finger groove. Doing this automatically raises the top panel, by an elegant and effective internal hinging mechanism. The interior is fitted with two shelves with rounded cut-outs on the front to accommodate bottles, with a mirror to the rear and red leather inset surface. There are fitted brackets on the inside of the top panel which would originally have housed a strainer. The bottom cupboard doors are fitted with decorative drop loop handles mounted on very decorative backplates. The doors are held in place by secure sprung ball-and-cup catches.
