Description
The clock is from 1920's and made by DUFA, although the clock mechanics was probably made by one of the many local producers. It has a serial number 6799.
It has an 8-day mechanisme and it has a Westminster strike at each quarter, (every quarter a longer tune).
The clock face, the pendulum and weights are decorated with peacocks and I think it's been either a ‘special edition’ or a customisation.
I was told that originally it was built into the furniture of a ribbon manufacturer's study in Wuppertal Beyenburg (Germany), and later converted into a grandfather clock.
The clock has been restored and is running on time.
