Description
Here we have a copy (at least.. I think it's a copy?!) of the classic Ball Chair designed by Finnish furniture designer Eero Aarnio in 1963. Also known as the globe chair, famous for its unconventional shape, it is considered a classic of industrial design.
A few dings and scrapes around the edges and at the base - see pics. But still a good looking and surprisingly comfortable chair to sit in. Especially if you want to look like a Bond villain. I would advise padding it out with more cushions for a truly relaxing sit.
It's pretty big (120cm tall, 105cm wide and 97cm deep) - it's basically a cubic metre. So you'll need something sizeable to get it home in. That's my 6'1 son sitting in it for scale.
The originals go for £7,000. Copies are still up in the high hundreds.. this one I'm pretty sure is a copy but it's well made, very heavy. Grab yourself a bargain!
