Audrey was purchased by my wife and I six years ago, on the understanding that we kept her name, so it would be nice if the name was kept by any prospective buyer.
The 70 year old car starts and runs beautifully, there is some things that need doing now so it won't be sold for another week or two as I have to do some work on the front nearside brake which is seized on slightly, and we want to have a run into Newcastle and the coast. The underside is as good as the paintwork, the floor pans, sills, chassis and all structural stress points are in perfect order, however, the head cloth requires replacement, in fact the interior in general could be spruced up, but we don't care about that. She has her original engine and we were I formed that it was in a museum in Birmingham for several years back in her history. There is quite a few spares that have been collected over the years, and two workshop manuals, a part ordering catalogue with photographs of everything and bolt that there is in the car alongside the part number, and some history, but the starting handle and fire extinguisher are original to this car. My intension was to do a complete brake overhaul and replace with better brakes, but I've not had the time, and as I'm 6 years older than her, my knees have gone, but I'll do the work on the front one and that will do for me. All of the other items are also for sale so please get in touch about anything there, but the car won't be going until the end of the month, you can view it and hear it running, maybe leave a deposit, but not being sold for a couple of weeks.
