Vintage Japanese Hand Painted Musical Jewellery Box
Features:
- rich oriental style
- hand painted on black laquer
- inset abalone / mother of pearl shell inlay around top of lid
- sturdy wooden construction, adorned with intricate detailing
- raised on four bracket feet
- internal cantilevered tray with two opening covers and orange silk tassels
- royal blue velvet effect corded inner lining
- internal bevelled edge mirror in lid
- fully functional lock with key
- fully working musical mechanism wound up from underneath the base
- plays Swan Lake when lid opened
- Made in Japan
Dimensions (approximate): 15 cm x 10 cm x 9.5 cm high
Pre-owned - very good condition and in full working order; unboxed; checked with some minor wear marks to the adges of the black laquer and on the bottom of the feet commensurate with age
