The Role

In this position, you will provide direct support to the Configuration Manager, taking ownership of configuration activities across significant parts of major projects or smaller standalone initiatives. Your work will be crucial in protecting the accuracy, consistency, and quality of product definitions, while ensuring all engineering changes are properly implemented and controlled.

Review and validate engineering changes, applying project processes and governance to accept or reject as appropriate.

*

Prepare and update configuration management documentation for review by the Configuration Manager.

*

Coordinate configuration review meetings by providing accurate reporting and status information on schedule.

*

Maintain control of product data across development, production, and service phases, ensuring transparency for stakeholders.

*

Offer expert advice and support on engineering change methods and lifecycle practices.

Strong team player with the ability to contribute effectively and positively within a large group.

*

Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, capable of engaging at all levels.

*

Strong concern for quality and accuracy in all work delivered.

*

IT literate with experience using configuration and PLM tools (ideally Windchill).

*

Ability to develop constructive stakeholder relationships and promote configuration management as a valuable function.

*

Familiarity with customer and industry standards relevant to configuration management
