Description
This is a Powerline Adapter (specifically a 200Mbps PLC Mini Passthrough, model HP200PT64).
What it does:
• It uses your home’s electrical wiring to transmit internet signals.
• You plug one adapter into a wall socket near your router and connect it with an Ethernet cable.
• You plug the second adapter into a wall socket in another room, and it gives you a wired Ethernet connection there.
• The “passthrough” means you can still plug another device (like a lamp) into the adapter so it doesn’t block the socket.
About yours:
• Speed: 200 Mbps
• Works fine for web browsing and maybe SD/HD streaming, but not ideal for high-speed internet or 4K streaming.
Does extend into dark spots in your home.
