Description

In bright orange, the chair is generally in a good condition, with some scratches to the alloy wheels, but this is a working chair so it will collect the odd few marks when it's out and anout. I use the chair outdoors on the very poor pavements of my local town and the excellent suspension protects my spinal problem. It just soaks up the bumps n potholes (yes even our pavements have potholes!)

The chair's plastic casing does not have any cracks and the seat is in good condition. A simple wipe down with a cloth is all that's needed to keep the chair looking good.

The puncture proof tyres are worth their weight in gold, given the amount of glass, screws and nails I find on the local pavements, and they are in great condition, with plenty of tread remaining.

I never take the chair out in the rain, so there's no possibility of water getting into the electrics, but I am told it's perfectly okay to take it outdoors when it's raining.

Battery

Once fully charged, the battery seems to last forever, and it gives me lots of trips into town before I need to plug it in again. I usually plug it in overnight using a trickle charger, but if you want to charge it up faster, then a 5 amp fast charger won't cost you more than £25 on eBay or other Internet shopping websites.

Small Jobs

I bought an extending side bar, so I could remount the current fixed controller, allowing it to fold back so the chair can fit close up to a cafe or dining table. I didn't get round to fitting it, but I'll include it in the sale so you can install it yourself should you wish to so so, as it's a very straightforward job.

The chair seat could also do with having some velcro fitting underneath, so it doesn't move around when the chair hits a broken pavement slab or pothole.

Service

I don't think the chair needs a service, but for peace of mind you can get one done cheaply enough. I have a full breakdown and recovery policy as I'm unable to walk at all, so if I were to breakdown I would be really stranded! I pay £60 per year for the full package, which includes taking both the chair and myself home, or onwards to any destination within twenty miles. The policy covers this chair and my foldable electric chair which goes in the boot of a car. For the sake of just over £1 weekly, I wouldn't be without my cover, not that these break down easily because they're very robust, but I just prefer to cover all eventualities.

But, apart from these small jobs, that any non technical-minded person can easily complete, there's nothing else needs doing and you can start using the chair straightaway.

If you're looking for a Powerchair for a young teen, or adult, this bright orange coloured chair is ideal. It has adjustable head and foot rests which can be adapted to fit any size person.

Collection Only

You will obviously need to collect the chair, which requires two people to lift it into a van as its a very solid heavy powerchair. It will NOT fit into a car and you will need at least a medium-sized van, but preferably a Luton-type van with a tail lift would be safer.

If you don't have a suitable vehicle, you can book a carrier on Shiply or Anyvan, where you post your requirements and carriers place their bids. This sounds complicated, but it really isn't and I had the chair delivered by a Shiply carrier, who only charged me £72 to bring it up to my front door in Yorkshire from Bedfordshire.

Collection is from Brighouse, West Yorkshire HD6 3FA, where there is level access from inside and out into our car park, so loading the chair into a van is a straightforward process. There is no problem with parking as its private property.

ONLY £700

I will only consider sensible offers very close to the original asking price, as the chair is already heavily discounted when compared to the second-user list price for this model. Indeed, if you have a search on eBay, you will struggle to find a similar model in this condition in the same price bracket.

The Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 Powerchair is an extremely versatile chair, and is equipped with a high/low seat that also tilts back, allowing the user to adapt to almost everyday tasks.

Fitted with front and rear suspension the powerchair has been designed to be used indoors as well as outdoors. Cobbled streets, slightly rougher paths and even short grass can all be tackled with this powerchair, letting the user enjoy their newly found freedom to the full.

This powerchair is mid-wheel driven with a turning circle of 20.5 inches, meaning that it can be turned 180 degrees in the smallest of areas.
