For sale is a vintage Erzgebirge Easter bunny rabbit school set
Hand painted wooden miniatures
Made in Germany
The tradition of making wooden handicrafts began in the 1700s when the people in Erzgebirge in East Germany needed to make an income and wood was plentiful. Erzgebirge is world-famous for handmade wooden products that keep the artisan tradition alive.
These belong to my grandmother so date around the 1930's but could be earlier.
Between 3-5cm high (school bunnies - chalkboard) and 9cm long
