WILL POST - I can post this for £4.50 if paid for by bank transfer (Note - we only accept payment in cash on collection or by bank transfer if delivery agreed - no PayPal, card, or courier payment).
Selling our collections (hoards) of mostly French vintage items that have been acquired over many years until finally we have no room for more!
We got this from a vide maison in Chatillon sur Seine, Burgundy and have used it as a decorative kitchenalia item.
It’s a charming ceramic Dijon mustard jar with a cork lid and marked to the front:
MOUTARDE DE DIJON
AU VINAIGRE FIN
BORNIER DIJON
Dating to the early 20th century it’s in good condition for its age and makes a great decorative French kitchenalia piece.
In good, sound, vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
No cracks or damage and I have found next to no chips - there is a small one to the left lower edge and there is wear to the inner upper edge - see photos.
The interior is a little worn and stained but sound.
The bottom has wear from use but is sound.
The cork lid has wear and a chip out of it to allow for the spoon - see photos.
The small wooden spoon is worn but sound.
Marked to the front as described.
Also marked to the bottom:
MOUTARDE BORNIER
MADE IN ITALY
Measures approximately:
11 cm tall lid off,
11 cm diameter,
weighs about 350 g.
