Description
Here is a scientfic balance / weighing scale made by the famous Sartorius-Werke of Göttingen, Germany. This model is believed to be from the first half of the 20th century, or possibly early 1950s.
The wooden case still bears the original maker’s plaque and has all of its original glass and handles / levers intact. It comes complete with its arm mechanism and two weighing trays, which all appear to be complete and in working order. The trays are showing signs of wear (please see the pictures) but nothing major.
It also comes with some L. Oertling apothecary weights. Please note these are incomplete. But some of the very small weights including 0.1 grams are included, along with their original box.
All in all, this is quite a nice example of this rare Sartorius Werke scientific balance, along with some L. Oertling apothercary weights – so hopefully it’ll find a new home.
