Lift Service Engineer (Northern Ireland) Location: Northern Ireland Company: Elite Lifts.

Job description

The established company requires a Lift Engineer in the Northern Ireland area and work with a qualified engineer as part of an engineering team.

The ideal applicant will live in Belfast Northern Irleand.

A background in servicing is desirable but full training will be given to candidates who can display the necessary core skills through other experience and the ability to learn and commit to the success of the company.

Attend courses to develop Health & Safety and engineering qualifications required by the company. After the qualifying period, begin the NVQ3 Lift Engineering Qualification. Some heavy lifting is required. Responsibilities Undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development Understand and comply with policies and procedures Carry out work safely and diligently Attend training and learning events or via distance learning with LEIA Skills and Qualifications Essential Skills Applicants should also possess 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths, English & a Science subject Full, clean driving license and mechanical or electrical background essential You will have strong interpersonal skills having the ability to communicate effectively with our customers and across all levels of the organisation

Attend training sessions or engage in other learning activities You will be committed to your training and development Desirable Skills Ideal candidates will have a mechanical or electrical engineering aptitude, putting safety first Further Information Our Requirements: Ideally applicants should have completed a Level 2 Foundation Course in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering that contains a practical element, ideally the Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations (PEO).

Those who have completed a similar qualification such as a City & Guilds 2365 or BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering would also be considered. Employer Ref: 322121
