An excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established company based in Blaydon-On-Tyne!

Starting Salary: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour depending on experience with additional responsibility payments. Enhanced overtime rates.

With over 40 years of industry experience, we are a trusted electrical/mechanical contractor serving the electrical supply industry and major energy consumers across the UK. We specialise in the repair, refurbishment, and installation of power transformers and associated high-voltage (HV) equipment.

Due to a rapidly growing order book, we are now seeking a experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our multi-skilled team, working in high voltage substations throughout the UK.

The Role:

Refurbishment, maintenance, and installation of Power Transformers and related HV equipment
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
Adhering to and completing safety and quality paperwork
Participating in ongoing training to gain skills for specific tasks

Candidate Requirement:

Mechanical fitter with solid technical competence
A broad trade knowledge is essential
Experience with power transformers or HV substations is advantageous but not essential
Willingness to work away from home and complete further training to aid future development

Additional information

Work is primarily away from home, with occasional weekend and bank holiday work
Lodging allowance and nightly expenses are covered while working away
Pay is competitive and based on experience
All necessary training (including authorisation for UK electricity companies) will be provided
