Where do we start with this one? Firstly, what a privilege to bring this magnificent example to market. We first met our vendor in June last year to help with the sale of his late father's Lancia Ardea. Peering into his garage (man cave) at the time revealed a very eclectic mix of rare cars, with the McLaren sitting pride of place on trickle charge under its factory car cover. We think it's fair to say he has exquisite taste in automobiles, and we're pleased to be handling the sale of another one of his cars as he thins out his collection.
""That's not a classic"" we hear you cry... well considering the 12C put McLaren Automotive firmly back on the map and was the first of a wide range of high-performance cars which have left the Woking tech centre over the subsequent 13 years, we beg to differ. With the 12C, McLaren boldly announced their arrival onto the supercar stage, and they have been giving the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini a run for their money ever since.
Recently voted one of Evo Magazines top 25 cars from the last 25 years. The impact this car has had on the supercar world will go down in history and whilst a bit cliche and somewhat overused, the term 'game-changer' sums this British made supercar up perfectly. It's no wonder people are now waking up to the fact that these cars have investment potential. Who knows what good examples could be fetching 5-10 years from now.
