Selling my MK1 R-Limited Edition, which is a special version of the Eunos Roadster made only in Japan. It's known for its rarity and unique features, making it a highly sought-after model. Limited to 1 of only 1000 made, unique metallic dark blue exterior with stylish red leather interior. Incredible low mileage of only 15,114 miles (or 24,324km), this car is in exceptional original condition and complete with all its special upgrades from factory. Fresh MOT till Aug 2026, no advisories and benefitting from a recent mechanical recommission after being kept in dry storage for the past 20 years.

No rust or corrosion to be found anywhere. This car boasts all solid sills, original spot welds and clean arch seams. All rare features of this model are still present:
- Special R-Limited Floor Mats
- Red leather tonneau cover
- 15-BBS lightweight alloy wheels, all centre caps and locking wheel nut tool
- R-Package suspension with Bilstein shocks, front and rear bracing

Having driven a number of other MK1s over the years, this car feels very special and has more power than standard examples. The steering is precise and gearbox gives effortlessly smooth changes. All cluster gauges operate correctly. There are a few very minor blemishes on the paintwork which hold me back from describing the car as ‘concourse’, however, it’s hard to pick these up on the pictures and highly recommend viewing to appreciate excellent overall condition.

Both electric windows in good working order. This Eunos model came with air-conditioning and power-steering as standard. A brand new soft top (costing £495) perfectly matching the original factory blue vinyl was fitted and also has a heated glass screen. The original soft top removed will also be included with the sale and is in good condition, except for a small split in the rear plastic window (this can easily be replaced if desired).

Receipts for mechanical work include:
- New battery
- Full engine service (coolant flush, engine oil, air/fuel/oil filters, spark plugs)
- New disc brakes and pads front and rear. Plus brake fluid flush
- Fuel tank flush and new fuel pump sock replaced

- AC-50 rust protection treatment applied on underside

- New cambelt, water-pump and all gaskets replaced

- New window wipers
- All light bulbs replaced
- Gearbox and differential oils replaced
- Crankshaft front seal and Camshaft oil seals all replaced, plus Cas ‘O’ ring
- New thermostat fitted

The MX5 model holds the Guinness World Record for being the best-selling two-seater roadster of all time. This MK1 is a special example of the car that started it all.
