Job Title: Public Programmes Officer

Location: Milton Keynes, MK3 6EB

Salary: £26,500 per annum (£27,560 post probation)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the role:

Support the planning, organisation and delivery of the annual public events programme.

Help engage new and existing audiences through activities that inspire deeper knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the Bletchley Park story.

Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and work across departments to oversee the smooth running of events.

Ensure activities are delivered to a high standard and within budget.

Maintain event plans and produce risk assessments.

Deliver post-event reports and make suggestions for event growth and improvement.

This is a hands-on role which will include some heavy lifting to facilitate the set up and effective turnaround of event spaces.About you:

Excellent administration and organisational skills.

Confidence in communicating at all levels, including coordinating and motivating volunteers.

Ability to work well within a team and meet deadlines while maintaining a calm professional approach.

Good numeracy skills and proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.

Previous experience of planning and coordinating events within a museum, heritage or similar environment is essential.What we offer:

This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility to regularly work outside of normal office hours to support evening and weekend events will be required. The closing date for applications is Sunday 31 August 2025.
