Job Description - Production Operatives Wanted.
Location: SO21
Company: Food Manufacturer
Contract: Temp to Perm (12 Weeks)
You must have your own transport (car, motorbike, push bike, scooter) or live locally, as there are no train or bus links available to get to and from work.
Immediate Start Available / Full-time, Temporary to Permanent / 8-Hour shift / 40-Hours Per Week / 5 Days Per Week.
Rotating Shift Patterns Monday to Friday (You will need to be flexible and able to work all shift patterns where required, shifts will be agreed in 1 to 2-week blocks):
* Morning Shift – 6am to 2:15pm
* Afternoon Shift – 2pm to 10:15pm
* Night Shift – 10pm till 6:15am (Starting around January 2026)
Hourly Pay Rates:
* Morning Shift = £12.21
* Afternoon Shift = £12.81 (inclusive of shift uplift)
* Night Shift = £14.74 (inclusive of shift uplift, may change in 2026 when shift starts)
Pay rates assessed and reviewed on successful completion of trial / probation period.
This is a new opportunity and career path with a fantastic team focused brand, who are looking for Production Operatives who can work the morning and afternoon shifts this year, once you are fully trained then they can support the night shift team as a Machine Operator.
Someone who wants to engage with award winning and successful people, learn, train, and develop new production skills to become a valued member of the team.
Duties:
The role will involve physical and manual tasks (lifting up to 25KG) in the warehouse using Pallett Trucks, supporting a conveyor belt, and working on a production line, stacking products, unloading, loading, and ensuring the correct products are brought from the warehouse to the production line, so that production can be completed on time, ready for distribution to clients. You need to prove reliability, engagement, and that you are flexible enough to support the business during its peak production times, and you will be rewarded both financially and with career progression / development if you want it, in niche areas of food production, manufacturing, machine operations.
* First Week Trial Shift is paid at £12.21 Per Hour.
* Week 2 shifts onwards are paid at the hourly rate based on the shift time being worked (as listed above).
* Once 12-weeks completed, work assessment and pay review leading to increased rates of pay based on your reliability, transferable skill set, and progression.
Due to the rural location outside of Winchester, working hours, and lack of any reliable public transport links, you will need your own car, motorbike, scooter. If you live locally then you can travel 20-minutes by bike to get to and from work every day, but it will be up and down dark country roads.
Qualifications / Essentials:
* Fluent English written and verbal communication skills.
* Can understand weights and measures, as well as written instructions, health, and safety training.
* Any food handling or hygiene training completed would be preferred.
* Must be eligible to work a full-time permanent job in the UK, we cannot offer work visa sponsorship.
