What You Will Do:

– Tack weld using MIG/MAG welding processes on armour plates, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and work instructions.

– Use jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and measuring instruments to fabricate components to the highest standards.

– Conduct visual and non–destructive inspections to verify that components meet strict quality requirements.

– Complete European welder approval tests regularly to maintain industry qualifications.

– Report equipment faults or unusual occurrences using approved maintenance reporting procedures.

– Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to 5S principles and safety regulations.

What You Will Bring:

– Recognised Time Served Apprenticeship in Welding or a relevant discipline.

– NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related field.

– Practical welding and fitting experience in a heavy manufacturing or fabrication environment.

– Knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.

– Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
