Description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry–leading parcel courier client for night shift warehouse loaders in the Carlisle (CA6) area. This is a permanent opportunity starting in as soon as possible, perfect for those looking for stable, long–term work in a fast–paced logistics environment.

Night shift – 4 shifts per week, on a rolling 6–day schedule starting Sunday night

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling various tasks related to materials management, stock control, and logistics. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast–paced environment.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain an organised warehouse environment by ensuring all materials are stored correctly. Operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and stock movements. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used for heavy lifting tasks. Utilise mechanical knowledge to assist in the maintenance of warehouse equipment. Perform picking and packing duties accurately to fulfil customer orders. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for the movement of goods within the warehouse. Assist with stocktaking and inventory audits as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols. Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous. Knowledge of AS400 or similar inventory management systems is beneficial. A valid forklift licence is desirable for operating warehouse machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge will be an asset in troubleshooting equipment issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods is essential.
