Hours: 39 hours per weekMonday to Thursday: 6:45am – 3:30pmFriday: 6:45am – 2:05pmLearning Upholstery TechniquesApply foam and fabric to frames with precision and care.Use correct tension and straining methods to position materials for a perfect fit.Working with Materials and TrimmingsFamiliarise yourself with different fabrics, padding's, and frame types, ensuring quality and durability.Work with a range of trimmings and furnishings including buttons, facings, piping, and decorative studs. Using Tools and EquipmentOperate compressed air equipment such as staple guns, as well as a variety of hand tools.Create different types of pleats, including scroll arm, envelope, and puckering techniques.Collaborating as a TeamWork as part of a team on piece work production to keep manufacturing running smoothly.Collaborate with upholsterers, trainers, and managers to meet production goals and deliver exceptional products.Staying KnowledgeableMaintain up–to–date knowledge of all our products and specifications to ensure consistency and quality in every item.Attention to DetailEnsure each finished product is neat, precise, and meets our high–quality standards. Prioritising SafetyFollow all safety procedures when working with tools and machinery in the workshop.
