BSC FILTERS: WHO WE ARE

BSC specializes in the global design and manufacture of custom RF and

Microwave Solutions. Utilising core and advanced filter technologies as well as

their integration in higher level sub-assemblies for the latest rf and microwave

products to connect and protect people in defence, communications, aerospace

and space.

OPPORTUNITY

We’re now recruiting a TEST TECHNICIAN to join our highly skilled, friendly and customer focussed Production team. Working at your own individual work space independently and as part of a team, you’ll complete a range of test activities to test fit for purpose, alignment to specifications, vibration, response to heat and other activities to ensure our filters meet customer requirements.

You’ll do this by:

* Making precision adjustments and modifications using microscopes, scalpels and other small hand tools to manipulate tuning screws and RF tracks to meet amplitude and frequency ranges.

* Recording and taking data from analysers and other equipment to ensure the filter meets specification.

* Fault finding, highlighting and where able resolving product issues and errors ensuring quality standards are maintained.

To be successful, you are or ideally have the following skills:

* Confident and organised and wanting to learn our processes, how they work and what you’ll need to do to achieve the right standard.

* Patient and methodical in putting things together and when necessary, tinkering/adjusting them to get the right result.

* Someone who enjoys problem solving, finding faults and suggesting solutions.

* Experience of working in an engineering or manufacturing environment, meaning you can work to exacting standards and design.

* Have a high attention to detail, combined with a passion for tidiness in your work area!

* Enjoy making positive teamwork contributions to our highly motivated Production teams, delivering continuous improvement and meeting targets
