TITLE: Technical Assessor / Chemist – Hazardous Waste

SALARY: 30–35K DOE + Commission on any business you bring in

ROLE: Technical Assessor / Chemist – Hazardous Waste

In this role, you'll play a key part in identifying and classifying hazardous materials in line with environmental legislation and health & safety protocols. You'll manage the full lifecycle of waste from correct identification and collection to compliant disposal. Working closely with clients, you'll offer guidance on optimal waste segregation, packaging methods, and disposal options. The role also includes negotiating with disposal facilities for pricing, organising transportation with hauliers, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and maintained to regulatory standards.

EXPERIENCE: Technical Assessor / Chemist – Hazardous Waste

You should bring hands–on experience working with hazardous waste, along with solid knowledge of waste classification frameworks like WM3 and ADR. A degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related scientific field is required. A strong grasp of health, safety, and environmental compliance is essential for success in this role. Additional certifications such as WAMITAB or COTC are highly desirable. A valid UK driving licence is a must, as the position requires regular travel to client locations.
