A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Stores Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Sittingbourne. This is a hands–on, varied role that involves picking, packing, stock control, goods–in/out, and working closely with the Stores Team Leader to ensure the smooth operation of the Stores Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Pick and pack goods for dispatch, including boxes and crates, drive accessories, and equipment.Receive goods inwards, unload deliveries, and place stock into appropriate locations.Operate Forklift Trucks for loading/unloading vehicles and general stores duties.Maintain accurate inventory records using stock control systems and assist in stocktakes.Complete carrier paperwork and ensure orders are prepared accurately for dispatch.Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, adhering to Health & Safety procedures.Support the Stores Team Leader with daily operations and act as a point of contact during their absence.Liaise with Sales and Production teams to maintain high levels of operational efficiency.Carry out general maintenance checks on Forklift Trucks and ensure all equipment is in good working order.Assist other departments with tasks as required and approved by management.Skills & Experience Required:

Previous experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment (experience in a Stores department is desirable).Valid Forklift Truck experience (counterbalance or reach).Proficient in the use of technology and stock control systems.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording stock movements.Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.Good communication skills and the ability to take initiative.Flexible and adaptable with a positive approach to learning new skills.Additional Requirements:

Must be physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.Strong time management and organisational skills.IT literate with the ability to maintain accurate records.Benefits:
