Description

Our client has an opportunity for a Stores and Inspection Technician to join them on a permanent basis. You will be Based in the Manufacturing Assembly Integration Test (MAIT) team which is responsible for assembly and testing of hardware and supporting process documentation to meet quality standards.

You will be taking overall responsibility of the Bonded stores, incoming inspection and the Bonding in/out of parts.

What you'll be doing:

Taking responsibility of our bonded stores.Verify incoming inspection on parts using verniers, micrometres, pin gauges, etc.Fill out incoming inspection paperwork and file documentation.Bond components into bonded stores system.Bond components out and fulfil kitting requirements efficiently and accurately.Monitor / Expedite and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation.Raise any quality or non–conformance issues with your line manager.Keeping procurement sheets / MRP system up to date.Ensuring stock accuracy is achieved by conducting monthly cycle counts on high value items / annual stock take.Ensure that COSHH cabinets and associated documentation are up to date.Packing and shipping goods out.Travel between OSS sites is required to perform Stores activities.To complete any other tasks as commensurate with the level and nature of the post as delegated by the (line manager).Supporting on–going day to day MAIT work tasks.Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to.

Requirements:

Technical knowledge of machined components.Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of detailed drawings, surface finishes, tolerances, materials etc.Knowledge of MRP system.Practical experience with metrology equipment is a must.Operating stack truck.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Positive attitude to problems, able to provide sound solutions.Excellent attention to detail, along with a natural preference for writing and following processes and proceduresDeadline orientated, in order to deliver within defined timescales and meet programme milestones.Good prioritisation and organisational skills, to manage several projects at any one timeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPositive attitude to problems, able to provide sound solutionsExcellent attention to detailDeadline orientatedGood prioritisation and organisational skills, to manage several projects at any one time
