Shift Manager (Nights)

Location: Pwllheli

Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 5 on / 2 off

Contract Type: Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established production business seeking a Night Shift Manager to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and versatile professional to take on a dynamic and hands-on role within a fast-paced operational environment.

The Role:

As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the production function during night shifts. Working closely with the wider leadership team, you will lead, coordinate, and motivate staff while ensuring targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee night shift operations to ensure optimal staffing, resource use, and production output

* Support day-to-day problem solving, working alongside senior managers on operational challenges

* Manage employee training, development, and performance reviews

* Promote and uphold health and safety policies, including PPE and training compliance

* Maintain high standards of product quality and timely order completion

* Foster strong communication between teams, departments, and shifts

* Monitor holiday planning, staff performance, and attendance

* Contribute to stock and inventory checks, maintaining accurate records

* Ensure workspaces are kept clean, safe, and well-organised at all times

* Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to personnel and business matters

* Support the continuous improvement of team culture and cross-shift collaboration

The Ideal Candidate:

* Experienced team manager with a strong background in production or operational environments

* Skilled in people management, training, and performance development

* Well-versed in health and safety compliance and procedures

* Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable with a hands-on leadership style

* Able to work flexible hours and demonstrate resilience in a fast-moving setting

* Previous experience in a regulated or process-driven industry (preferred)
