_ ABOUT US _

_Burlen Ltd is a successful family business in Salisbury. We are a collaborative, supportive and rewarding business to work for and our goal is to produce a top quality fuel system products. We are looking for a hands on Mechanical Quality Inspection Engineer to lead our Quality department, inspecting our fuel system components. _

_The successful applicant will gain an exciting opportunity to influence positive change within a dynamic Engineering department, including bespoke R&D projects. _

_ RESPONSIBLE TO _

_ Engineering Manager _

KEY DUTIES

1. Co-Ordinate the Quality office including first line management for all staff.

2. Controlling the inspection of all parts received from suppliers, utilising a number of manual and digital inspection and measuring devices and equipment.

3. Initiating and investigating all non-conforming parts. Raising non-conformance reports and liaising with suppliers for corrective actions and countermeasures.

4. Compilation of detailed ISIRs (Initial Sample Inspection Reports) for new products, new suppliers or parts manufactured by modified/repaired tooling.

OTHER DUTIES

1. To work with the R&D team regarding product development.

2. To work with Production to close off component quality issues.

3. Ensuring all inspection details are recorded accurately.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1. ECN process to be completed within a reasonable time.

2. Maintain all inspection and test equipment.

3. Maintain and review all Risk Assessments for the department.

4. NCRs to be closed within 1 month.

5. ISIRs to be distributed within 1 week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: GBP35,000.00-GBP40,000.00 per year
