Our client is a long–standing leader in the bakery sector, backed by over 100 years of experience. Due to consistent growth, they re expanding their QA team and are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Technologist to join their operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in the food industry who s eager to grow professionally. The role offers comprehensive training and development, enabling you to share knowledge across departments and play a key support role in maintaining and improving product standards.

Quality Assurance Technologist The Ideal Candidate

We re looking for a proactive, self–motivated, and organised individual who:

Has at least 2 years' experience in the food industry Holds Level 2 qualifications in both HACCP and Food Safety Is a confident decision–maker, especially in high–pressure environments Can work effectively as part of a team to identify and solve quality issues Is passionate about continuous improvement and maintaining high standards Is flexible and comfortable working a 4–on–4–off night shift pattern Quality Assurance Technologist Key Responsibilities

Review and monitor production paperwork to ensure accuracy and identify training needs Maintain audit–ready documentation for site and product–specific processes Perform compliance checks on equipment (e.g., temperature probes, scales, fridges) and escalate any out–of–spec results Conduct internal audits, including GMP, glass/plastic/fabrication audits, and support hygiene standards across departments Complete PQE (Product Quality Evaluation) sessions to ensure food safety and quality Carry out routine swabbing and sampling based on risk–assessed schedules and lead investigations for any non–conformances Act as the on–site subject matter expert for CCP (Critical Control Point) controls, providing training and validation Quality Assurance Technologist Benefits
