Quality Assurance Manager

Are you a quality leader ready to raise the bar on food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement? Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to take full ownership of the site's QA function.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing QA team, drive proactive improvements, and act as the guardian of both product integrity and customer confidence.

As the Quality Assurance Manager you will:

Lead and develop the QA function, managing day-to-day operations of the laboratory and QA team, coaching them into a world-class quality assurance unit.

Champion food safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with HACCP, GMP, and all customer codes of practice across site operations.

Take ownership of customer complaints and product investigations, delivering root cause analysis and effective corrective actions that drive continuous improvement.

Act as site lead during audits and traceability challenges, presenting confidently to customers and third-party auditors while safeguarding compliance and customer trust.

Oversee micro and nutritional testing programmes, ensuring schedules are maintained and standards fully align with business and customer requirements.

Embed a culture of compliance and accountability, enforcing site policies and procedures across Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety.

Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to support process improvements, new equipment trials, and product quality enhancements.

Lead daily taste panels and quality reviews, ensuring sub-standard products are swiftly identified, actioned, and prevented from reoccurrence

As the Quality Assurance Manager you will need:

To have experience in team management

Experience in a QA Lead/Manager/Supervising role within a UK food manufacturing business

Own transport
