Quality Assurance (QA) Operative – FMCG

Location: Chadderton, OL9

Salary: Up to £30k

Hours: Mon–Thurs, 7:30am – 6:00pm

Type: Temp-to-Perm

About the Role:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Operative to join our team and help ensure our FMCG products meet the highest quality standards. You’ll carry out inspections, testing, and reporting to make sure only top-quality products reach our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products

*

Inspect packaging, labelling, and coding for accuracy and compliance

*

Monitor production lines to maintain GMP and hygiene standards

*

Record and report quality data accurately and promptly

*

Identify and report deviations or quality issues to QA Supervisor or Production Manager

*

Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)

*

Ensure QA tools and instruments are clean and calibrated

*

Support product sampling for laboratory testing

*

Maintain documentation in line with audit and regulatory requirements

*

Assist with internal and external audits (BRC, ISO, Customer audits)

Requirements:

*

Experience in a quality or production role within FMCG, food, or manufacturing

*

Basic understanding of quality systems, food safety (e.g., HACCP), and hygiene standards

*

Strong observation skills and attention to detail

*

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment

*

Good communication skills and ability to follow SOPs

Preferred:

*

Knowledge of BRCGS or HACCP systems

*

Experience with QA software or data entry
