ROLE: Project Engineer – Recycling Facility Construction

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday

SALARY: up to GBP50,000 per annum, Fixed Term Contract (for project duration)

We are delighted to be recruiting a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to support the design, construction, and commissioning of a new state–of–the–art recycling manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and delivering the project on time and within budget.

WHAT OUR PROJECT ENGINEER WILL DO:

Manage the lifecycle of key strategic projectsCo–ordinate all project aspects from budget, plans, schedules, and processesAssist in the planning, design, and execution of a facility construction projectCo–ordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teamsMonitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and issuesEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsSupport procurement of equipment and materialsOversee installation and commissioning of machinery and systemsMaintain project documentation and technical records

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR PROJECT ENGINEERS:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)

3+ years of experience within industrial or manufacturing construction projectsKnowledge of recycling processes or environmental engineering is a plusProficiency in project management tools and CAD softwareStrong communication and problem–solving skillsPrevious experience with sustainability–focused projects could be an advantageFamiliarity with regulatory requirements for waste management and recycling could be an advantagePMP or PRINCE2 certification
