We are seeking a Night Shift Production Operative to join the team at DS Smith Packaging in Launceston. This is a fantastic chance to secure a full-time, contractual role with competitive pay and excellent benefits.

The Role

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process. We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and committed to high standards of work.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating machinery in a fast-paced production environment.

Performing routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.

Following all Standard Safe Operating Procedures (SSOW) and UK Health and Safety legislation.

Details & Benefits

Location: DS Smith Packaging, Hurdon Road, Launceston, PL15 9HN

Pay Rate: £16.41 per hour for weekend shifts (up to 37.5 hours).

Overtime: £24.62 per hour after 8 hours per day and on Saturdays.

Shifts: You must be available for rotating night shifts.

Weekday Nights: 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. (Monday to Thursday), 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Friday)

Weekend Nights: 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. (Friday to Saturday), 6 p.m. - 6 a.m. (Sundays)

Contract: 3 months initially, with the potential for extension.

Essential Requirements

A full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and SSOW.
